Phoenix Dragon Circle

Works of this nature would have been given to visiting dignitaries or officials, for example on the occasion of a trade agreement between two towns or 'local authorities'.

Please note that it has at some time suffered a chip to the edge. The flake has been replaced, and the repair is visible only from one side. The location is in the 'one-thirty' position in the image above.

The carving is an offwhite/grey colour, and is approx 13.5cm diameter.
